The story of Tupac often gets shortened to "famous rapper, killed because of East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry." Better would be to remember the intellectual, the poet, the man who wrestled personal and societal demons with his own words. Like here.
Blank on Blank made this animation using an interview Tupac Shakur gave to Benjamin Svetkey in 1994 for Entertainment Weekly. Check out their site for a transcript of the audio, a link to Svetkey's article, and GIFS from the animation. Now go update your playlists.
