Now that the arbitration hearing for A-Rod is finally over, the waiting begins until 2014 when Alex Rodriguez will learn his fate. Feeling emboldened by what he considers a moral victory, Rodriguez spoke for the first time about his grievance hearing and battling Major League Baseball over his 211-game suspension.
According to ESPN, Rodriguez proclaimed, "We crushed it, they had nothing."
"The only thing that truly concerns me is the process."
Rodriguez held true to his claim of not attending Friday's session if commissioner Bud Selig did not show up. Rodriguez' attorneys were pleased at the conclusion of the grievance hearing. "We don't think that MLB has met their burden. There's no physical evidence at all, just testimony from Anthony Bosch, a convicted felony. If you don't believe Mr. Bosch, there's no case at all- period."
Days earlier a frustrated Rodriguez and his attorneys vowed to release all evidence pertaining to the case to illustrate to the American public the gross overreach of MLB.
Rodriguez is now focusing on the start of the 2014 baseball season, even though he may not even be playing. "My approach never changes," Rodriguez said. " I'm preparing for spring training. All of this other stuff is out of my control. I'm satisfied that we did what we had to do."
